F\u00f6reningens \u00e4ndam\u00e5l \u00e4r att verka som f\u00f6reningsl\u00e4nk mellan \u00e4ldre och yngre historieforskare och historiestuderande. F\u00f6reningens m\u00e5ls\u00e4ttning \u00e4r att befr\u00e4mja utvecklingen av historieforskningen genom att v\u00e4cka diskussion kring \u00e4mnesomr\u00e5dets forskning och uppmuntra till en kritisk granskning av forskningen.<\/p>\n
F\u00f6reningen f\u00f6rverkligar sina m\u00e5ls\u00e4ttningar genom att h\u00e5lla m\u00f6ten, genom att arrangera f\u00f6redrags- och diskussionsaftnar, genom att organisera studiecirklar samt genom att redigera och utge skrifter. D\u00e4rut\u00f6ver f\u00f6rs\u00f6ker f\u00f6reningen befr\u00e4mja historieforskningen genom andra l\u00e4mpliga s\u00e4tt.<\/p>\n
F\u00f6reningens medlemmar uppmanas att ge f\u00f6rslag f\u00f6r nya seminarieid\u00e9er, diskussions\u00e4mnen och aktivitetsformer.<\/p>\n

It functions as a link between senior and junior scholars and the students. The Association is organizing meetings, seminars and discussions, editing publications, and advancing historical research with other suitable means.<\/p>\n Members are encouraged to suggest new, intriguing themes for seminars or for discussions!<\/p>\n Do you think that your research is relevant for other historians, as well? Does your research provoke discussion? Do you want to present a scientific paper from your topic? Do you want to meet new people and shape the future of Finnish historical research? Join the Association and be active \u2013 Association Board and its project groups are there to carry out your ideas!<\/p>\n One will become a member in Historical Association by paying the annual membership fee to Association\u2019s bank account \u00c5landsbanken 660100-3632866. The Association Board will then accept new members in its meetings after which they are added to the membership register.<\/p>\n The annual membership fee is 12 e, for students and unemployed 7 e. Fee for supporting members is 35 e. New members should include their full address information to the bank transfer to guarantee correct mailing of the membership leaflet.
